After years of battles over its Navistar-provided diesel engines, Ford Motor Co. today showed off a new diesel engine — code name: Scorpion — that it has been quietly developing for the past two years for its popular Super Duty pickup

I've heard nothing but good things about the 6.7. I've been waiting to trade up from my '99 because I hear nothing good about the 6.0 or 6.4. Plus I thought it was strange that the newer engines got the same or worse MPG then the 7.3. In fact with an engine modification, I knew people that would get around 22 MPG with a crew cab F 350.

I really like ford products for the most part, but am about 99% sure the new diesel they plan for the SD trucks is going to be a nightmare.
Starting with the aluminum heads, and continueing on from there.

The new 6.7 diesel will be available in the restyled 2011 SuperDuty.

We tried to return it on the "Lemon Law" but it hasn't had enough problems within a certain time limit to be covered.

WAMSTER---You should return it to the dealer citing the "Lemon Law" if it applies to Texas or request a buy back.

They need to do something!

We purchsed a new 2006 F-250 Superduty diesel 4x4 in April 2006. Since then it's in the shop at least 3 times a year. Fuel injectors failing even after adding fuel additive Ford recommends, fuel module failure. Now it's started running rough again after just being in the shop 2 weeks ago.

Yesterday it starting revving up and then starts to die. You'll have the pedal to the floor and you're driving about 20 miles an hour, and then all of a sudden it will accelerate.

Time for another trip to the shop!
